Animal protein meals provide a good source of essential amino acids (e.g. lysine and methionine), but they are also good sources of energy and minerals (particularly calcium and available phosphorus). It has higher protein content compared to plant based vegetable protein and has a better balance of fat, protein and minerals. The raw material for animal protein production are taken from animals that are fit for human comsumption at the time of slaughter and therefore it is considered safe. The raw material from slaughter house and the rendering plant production line can allow tracebiiity of the finished product and therfore help to better assssed the overall risk in the food chain production.

Meat and Bone Meal
MBM are rendered product from beef and cattle origin from the solid material remaining after being heat pasteurized and separated from the fat portion of animal tissues. The solid material is then finely grind to produce free flowing meal product that is known as Meat and Bone Meal (MBM).
MBM are rich sources of protein, amino acids, enegry, calcium, phosphorous, essential fatty acids and other vital nutrients.1
Typical Analysis of MBM for 50% and 45%

Blood Meal
Blood Meal are produced from raw blood freshly collected form the slaughter house everyday in a special tanker. The raw blood goes into a coagulator with high temperature steam to sterile the material before pump into a decanter to separate blood from water of serum. It then goes into a cooker (disk drier) to remove excess moisture to become blood meal, which is then grind into fine particles size into finished product.
Blood Meal are a rich source of essential amino acids for swine and poultry.

Hydrolysed Feather Meal
Hydrolysed Feather Meal (FM) is derived by cooking under pressure of fresh and clean feather that are collected from the slaughter poultry. The hydrolysed process break the cystine bonds and produced a high digestible product of 80% minimum. Feather meal is high in crude protein and it amino acid profile is quite similar to fish meal and can be used as a replacement for fish meal for fish feed.

Poultry Meal
Poultry Meal are rendered product from clean tissues, bone and carasses of slaughtered poultry. It is a palatable and high quality feed ingredient due to its composition of essential amino acids, fatty acid, vitamins and mineral. It is used for high value feed, pet food and aquaculture farming.
